PADDON'S CHALLENGE.
BCUXXHTG CHAMPIONSHIP. SYDNEY, May 17. A sensation has been caused in sculling circles by an announcement by James Paddon demanding the first race with Ernest Barry. Paddon states that he challenged Felton immediately after Barry's defeat. If Felton does not agree to a match Paddon -will ask Barry for a (ruarantee to row him after the BarryKelton match. If Barry does not agree, Paddon, according to the rules of the contest, will claim the •Rcullinj; championship of the world.— (A. and N.Z.)
