SNEAK THIEF'S HAUL.

A .sneak thief got a good haul from League players engaged in games on the Domain on Saturday, the booty consisting of a swag consisting of two jerseys, a singlet, and a new pair of socks taken from a bag. and 30/ in cash.
The spoils came from the players' dressing, rooms, the thief having evidently operated while thousands were watching the respective games on -the ground. Prior to and after the games these rooms are alive with bat durA the "exciting contests they are It has been stated of late that the light-fingered.gentry are sure to be carrying on their game, where the crowd is thickest.
In ventilating the losses at a meeting of tbe Auckland Rugby League Management Committee last evening Mr. Livereidge suggested that an effort should be made to secure locks for the rooms, and for those in the pavilion on Victoria Park.
Mr. McDonald, referring to tbe conditions in the pavilion on the Domain on Saturday, said that at one stage there .were at least 20 people in tbe rooms who had no right to he there. It was decided to make application for the necessary locks. The question of lighting the rooms was also discussed, and it was decided to request that the gas in the building be made available for the purpose.
On the representations of Mr. Ball it was also agreed that the referees should b* handed a key for their room in the Domain pavilion.
