DAMAGED BY SAND.
HOUSES ITAIiF FILLED. (By TelesrapS. —Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. During heavy rain 3 this week some houses at Lyall Bay, built on a sandy hill slope, were badly damaged by sand washing iv. In several instances houses were hall filled, or nearly so. Heavy damage was done.
