HIDDEN GUNS.
DISCOVERED AT STETTEN. SEIZED BY THE ENTENTE. RERUN. April J!l. The Entente Control Commission discovered at Stettin 2S(i puns and II! barges laden with infantry and artillery ammunition. The barges were seized. The Socialist newspaper "Kreiheit" reports that the afT;iir was discussed at a Cabinet meeting, at which (Jeneral Seeekt declared that the secret transport of the guns, which were destined for Konisbcrg, was undertaken with the full knowledge and approval of the , Ministry of Defence. The "Froilicit" ' points out that the Versailles Treaty only allows Germany 2SS guns. The incident ,is bound to cause the deepest , distrust on the part of the Entente PowcrE.—t Keutcr. |
