CARNIVAL AT THE DOMAIN.

A football and -. thletic carnival will be 'held at the Domain to-morrow afternoon in connection with the fund to send Miss Violet Walrond and Messrs. G. Davidson and D. Hadfleld to the seventh Olympic games at Antwerp. There will be three football championship contests by teams representing three codes as follows:—College Riifles v. Grafton (Rugby). Ponsonby United v. Marist Old Boys (League), Ponsonby v. Xorthcote (Association). A representative Association game will be played between juniors from uekland and 11.11.5. Renown, while a game between two strong teams from the •batt'.e-cruiser will also be decided. . Mr. H. E. Wilson, the Wellington era^k sprinter and Australasian hurdles champion, was to have made ;in appearance but unfortunately the railway strike does not leave miuh hope of his being present. An invitation is lieing extended to the Prince" of Wales to attend the gathering, if in Auckland. The handicaps are as follows: —
