AXOTMER DISPUTE DEFERRED. The claims of the- Auckland Iron and Brass Moulders' Union were before a Conciliation Council to-day, but the sitting was merely formal in view of the decision to endeavour to secure combined award for the- whole of the allied iron trades at a conference to Us held in Wellington shortly. Council was adjourned sine die, and will resume its sittings either for the purpose of ratifying the decisions of the conference to be held on the 24th, or of considering the forming of a local award in the event of the confcrenco breaking down. The assessors for the employers were Messrs. .S. K. Wright, Geo. Eraser, and 11. Beaney; and ior the workers, Messrs. A. 11. Philip, R. V. Thomas, and J. Ferguson, with Mt. K. I". Barter as advocate.
