BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL. TRUANT OFFICER'S REPORT. (By Telegraph.—'Pre—i Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. The question of child labour was again before the Education Board today, when the truant officer submitted a report showing that 305 children in the city and suburban schools were engaged in various occupations 'before and after school hours. Some boys were obliged to rise as early as 3 a.m., and work 3RI hours weekly for a wage of 12/ Others working shorter hours were earning from 11/ to 3/. The Board resolved to send copies of the report to the Education Department and the Labour Department.
