EXPECTED TRANSPORTS.

SEVEN VESSELS COMING. WITH 4467 TROOPS, 836 WIVES AXD 205 CHILDREN. HORORATA TO-MORROW NIGHT. Particulars of transports expected to arrive during the remainder of this month and the beginning of next are furnished by the Defence Department. Altogether details have been received of seven vessels on their way to New Zealand with troops, the total number of soldiers coiming home on these transports being 4467, together with 836 wives and 205 children.. The transport Hororata, with' Draft No. 280, comprising 1390 of all ranks, including 328 for Auckland, is expected at Wellington to-morrow evening. No definite information as to the time of arrival of the Auckland portion of the draft is yet obtainable. Following are the particulars of the seven transports now on their way to New Zealand:— Draft No. 278, transport Cordoba, due Wellington on September 28, with 655 troops; 90 for Auckland. Draft No. 280, Hororata, due Wellington to-morrow night; 1390 troops; 328 for Auckland. Draft No. 282, Ayrshire, due Lyttelton September 20; 671 troops; 231 for Auckland. Draft No. 283, Tainui, due Wellington noon September 21; 380 troops; 123 for Auckland; 83 women, 28 children. Draft No. 284, Corinthic, due Wellington September 23; 366 troops; 103 for Auckland; 35S women and 78 children. Draft No. 286, Adolph Woerman, due Wellington September 29; 651 troops; 234 for Auckland; 39 women and 9 children. Draft No. 28S, Tonic, due Wellington October 23; 354 troops; 356 women and 90 children.
