AMUSEMENTS.

TBE NATIONAL THEATRE. Two days only remain of the double bill at *he National "Theatre. The first picture is a Fox melodrama, "Lawless Love, featuring Miss Jewel Carmen as the star of a small theatrical company which is stranded while touring the American provinces, ine second picture Is "Doing Their Bit," featuring the Lee children, who are already welt known for their frolicsome and dramatic performances. The music and appointments of the theatre are, as usual, good. THE TIVOLI THEATRE. "My Cousin" is proving a decided draw at the Tivoli Theatre. The acting of Caruso, of operatic fame, and his leading lady, Caroline White, have attracted much favourable comment. THE STRAND THEATRE. "Infatuation" will be screened this evening and to-morrow, and will then give place to "A Midnight Romance," featuring the petite star Anita Stewart. In the meantime "Infatuation," with its supporting "Shoulder Arms." makes an admirable programme which should not be missed. THE OPERA HOUSE. The current bill at the Opera House, I headed by The "turns" given by Miss Pearl .Lndd anil Villiers Arnold and Moon and !-lorrls, is of exceptional merit, and is attracting large audleuces. A .matinee was given yesterday afternoon. THE QUEEN'S THE A _»_-. "The Price ot a Good Time" is miles ahead of the ordinary propagandist film, nnd Miss Mildred Harris is fortunate in having such a vehicle. The artistic and restraining hand of Miss Lois Weber is evident throughout, and the picture is one to see. THE PRINCESS THEATRE. W. S. Hart, the boys' hero, will possibly disappoint them somewhat this week bydiscarding his sombrero and leggings nnd appearing in the clothes of every day. Yet he does not disappoint them entirely, as a fine light ls a climax to the picture, which is in general up to standard. The supports are good. THE LYRIC THEiATRE. The French daintiness of Miss Constance Talmadge Is wonderfully shown in "Good Night. IPaul," the bedroom farce at the Lyric Theatre this week. This breezy comedienne is well supported by Norman Kerry and Harrison Paul. The -pictures supporting are good, and the music Is to standard.

.EV.DRYBODY'S THEATRE. "Such a Little Pirate" Ihas its last screening this evening and on Friday at Everybody's Theatre. The art of Mass Lila Lee—o_ should one call it her fresh unspoiled naivete —will be missed from the screen, for It Is rarely that so bright a picture and so charming a star comes the way of Auckland audiences. DANCE 'RECITAL. To-night sees the ipermiere of Miss Daphne Knight's series of recitals, which will continue till Saturday, with a matinee. Miss Knight is said to _aye put endless trouble into -this performance, and it 6_o_l.d be a great artistic success. .A number of solos are to be danced, and there are to be two long set pieces "Gweriwyn of the Lonely Tower" and "Through War to Peace." THE GLOBE THEATRE. The dark arts have a great place In the unfolding of the plot of "The Voice of Love" at the Globe Theatre this week. Miss Winifred Greenwood Is the star of this-, -thrilling film. I THE GRAND THEATRE. | A comic opera kingdom is pictured in "His Royal Highness," the cfhief .picture at the Grand Theatre. i THE WEST END THIEtATKE. To-night witnessed the last screening of "Flower of the Dusk,"' a picture starring Miss VVola Dana, at the West End Theatre. A portion of the "Slngaree" serial is also shown. THE BBITU-SOTA. T__2AT_j;a "A Blind -Man's Byes," featuring the sterling actor Bert Lytell, is shown at the Britannia Theatre to-night. Billy West also appears in "The Slave." THE BROADWAY THEATRE. "A Man and The Woman," adapted from the famous old story of the same name ls the leading -picture at the Broadway Theatre at present.

THE EMPRESS THEATRE. "Up the Boad With Salllie" is the whimsical title of the Constance Talmad«-e film being shown at the Empress Theatre to-night. THE VXCTO'R-IA THEATRE. "Money Mad," with Miss Mac Marsh makes its appearance at the Victoria Theatre to-night. This charming star Is deservedly popular wherever her pictures are shown. THE ARCADIA THEATRE. "Bound in Morocco" is the name of the latest Douglas Fairbanks special, which ls shown at the Arcadia Theatre to-night
