AMUSEMENTS.

TIJE NATIONAL THEATRE. The fresh exuberance and spontaneous humour of the Lee children make their latest picture, '"Doing Tiieir Bit," a feature much above the common run. Apart from their childish charm, they are already clever little actresses, and should hare a future before them. "lawless Love" is an average Fox 'melodrama, with Miss Jewel Carmen in the title-role. THE TIVOLI THEATRE. Caruso is proving popular as a picture star, judging toy the crowds that are attendhis first venture, '"My Cousin." In this picture, as impoverished sculptor and successful singer, he is equally at home, and an excellent account of himself. His leading lady Is the famous Caroline White. also well known in opera. The remainder of the programme is good. THE .STRAND THEATRE. A glitter of gowns, gold, and general sumptuousness described the picture of Mdlle. <Jaby Deslys' "Infatuation," wiich is drawingcrowds to the .Strand Theatre this week. This extraordinary star has a compelling personality, and her breathless escapades make a thrilling picture. "Shoulder Arms" is also screened. THE OPERA HOUSE. The dainty act of Pearl iLadd and Yilliers Arnold is the leading feature at the Opera Mouse this week. These excellent singers and vocalists show what perfect little cameos can be given in vaudeville. A remarkable performance is that given by Messrs. Oloon and Morris, the soft-shoe dancers. Their back-to-back dance is certainly a triumph of terpsichorean art. Others are "Phrozo," a freak turn by the Falvey sisters, and the TVhites give clever performances, while the Bert La Blanc travesty is still well received. THE QUEEN'S THEATRE. 'Miss Mildred Harris is fortunate in having so comprehensible and. well-written a scenario as that of "The Price of a Good Time" for her starring vehicle. The picture Is remarkably sane and direct, and is admirably produced. THE PRINCESS THEATRE. It is not often that picture audiences see Wl S. Hart, the famous actor of Western roles, in, a metropolitan, (picture, clothed, in the conventional metropolitan -garb-, and it is this- that makes hie latest picture, "Branding Broadway," of special Interest. Mr. Hart does Ms 'best to make a sood impression irpon Broadway, and, Ibis efforts in. .this direction are extraordinary. THE LYRIC 'THEATtt©. "Good-nisfot. Paul" is a breezy farce of the type so popular on- Hie stage and screen, at present. 'It Is good of Its- kind, and th» dainty star, Miss Constance Talmadge, wd-Oi 'her leading men, Norman Kerry and Harrison, Paul, plays it weJil. X!he picture 1» ■well-mounted, and -well-staged, and there i« a bevy of most charming ladies in it. The supporting pictures are good, EVERYBODY'S THEATRE. Xhiinty LJla X«ee, supported by that sterling character actor, Theodore 'Robert*, makes "Such a Little Pirate" a. very wholesome and charming picture indeed. It is merely the first of a programme of good pictures. DAN'OEi RECITAL. The pupils of Miss Daphne KnJ*bt are to give recitals on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, at His Majesty's Theatre. The production has been under way for a great time, and a. finished performance may be expected. There are two set pieces, "G-wenwyn of the 'Lonely Tower" and "Through "War to Peace," together witih a number of solo dances. A matinee will t>e given on Saturday afternoon.

MISS .LOUISE CVIA'CK. To-night, at the Concert Chamber, Miss Louise Alack, the distinguished novelist and speaker, -will give the first of her two recitals bearing upon her experiences in the war zone, while acting as war correspondent. Miss Alack is said to possess a magnetic personality, and. is a fine speaker, ana the tw-hole performance is said to b« of exceptional interest. Tlie second recital will >be given to-morrow evening. THE GLOBE THEATRE. Miss Winifred Greenwood is the star of the dramatic film "The Voice of love," which is being shown at the Globe Theatre this week. It is a clever story, and brimful of interest. OIHE GUAM) TJSEAT.RE. "■His iioyal Highness," now showing at the Grand Theatre, Is very youthful and attractive, with Its clever young stars, Carlyle ißlacfcweU and Evelyn Greeley. The tale is a riot of high spirits, and. the fightIng scenes are of special Interest. THE WEST iEN'I> TiIEATiIE. Winsome Viola Dana is well suited in "Flower of the Dusk," the leading picture on the West End Theatre's programme. A portion of the '"iStlngaree" serial is shown in addition. THE BRITANNIA THEATRE. "The Kid Is Clever" permits of many daring feats, and George Walsh avails himself of them all at the Britannia TJieatre this week. TUB JWtOAOTVAY THEATfIE. The Broadway Theatre has for its chief i attraction "Tihe Venus Model," with the ehapely Miss 'Mabel Normand in a bathing suit for good measure. The supporting pictures are good. THE EMBRESS THEATRE. "Up the Road With .Sallie" is the chief picture of the Empress Theatre programme to-night. Miss Constance Talmadge Is th« star of this amusing film.
