1 1 A. further advance took place in South - British Insurance shares yesterday afterI noon, a sale being made at the third call .jup to £9 8/. At the noon call to-day ( • another sixpence was paid for these , shares, and more were wanted at the ' i same figure. Wilsons N.Z. Cement had j sales this morning; at Id/, and N.Z. War ;Loan (1935) were placed at £95 10/. P. and O. Deferred Stock are still in request, up to £575 being offered to-day, but no seller quoted. Sales of N.Z. Loan and Mercantile were reported at £117 10/, I with buyers left offering £2 under that rate. Northern Steam (paid issue) were ,| placed at 17/4, and up to S/9 was offered j for the contributing issue. N.Z. Refrigerating shares were transferred this mornling at £4 11/, and were still inquired ifo rat sixpence under that sum. Union j Oil were sold at £1 11/, and .buyers came !in for Colonial Sugar (Fiji Issue) at ! £20 12/6. In mining shares Talismans ' were sold at 10/, and Grand Junctions nt • 14/9. BUSINESS DONE.
