CHANGEABLE WEATHER.

Squally weather with a big sea running on parts of the coast prevails, the fine epell of the week-end having given way to more unsettled conditions, a high wind and showers being the dominant featuree of the unpleasant elements. The rainfall for the past 48 hours has not been heavy, totalling .37in, and bringing the total for the month to •2.79 in. The change of the wind yesterday from the west to the south-west, and oubse<iuently the north-west exposed the west coast to the full force of the gale, and a heavy sea was running to-day. The Rarawa crossed this morning, but the bar was not deemed workable, and her trip outward was abandoned, and she will not now sail until Friday.
