AUSTRALIANS AT HA3J3LTOX, MATCH AGAIXST LOWER WAIKATO. The Australian League team, after * sojourn at Rotorua, will play a game against a Lower Waikiilo team at Steele Park, Hamilton, to-morrow afternoon. The following has been chosen to represent Lower Full-back, Tonga Mahuiu; three-qnarter?, I. Littlewood. S. Wilson, B. I'aki. and another; five-eighths, R. Fuller: half, A. Rayner; forwards, Morrison. AY. Waring, W. Cullaghiin, W. I'aki. 11. Allan, W. Rayner. Reserves: Barks, W. Peckham, P. Littlewood; forwards, F. Rayner and S. Berryuiau. EXECUTIVE MATTERS. A meeting of the Council of the New Zealand League was held yesterday evening, Mr. A. R. McLean presiding. Arrangements in connectiou with the Lower Waikato match at Hamilton to-morrow, and the j Hawke's Bay game at Napier, on Septemiiiet '27 against the Australian team, were attended to. A request from the Newton Club that secretaries and committee members of clubs should receive complimentary tickets for matches held under the auspices of the New ' Zealand League was forwarded by the Auckland League. The Council decided to -point" out that it had no precedent or autho-. i rity for negotiating with clubs and players land League had not submitted earlier a list of executive members and other workers to whom acknowledgments might have been made for good work by concessions Iv respect to test matches. I In connection with the test matches, the treasurer submitted a statement which showed that the gross gate and stand receipts for the erst game was fSO7 10/, aud for the second game £3(53 17/. The Council agreed to a request from the New Zealand Ueferee's Association to get into touch with the different bodies concerned, with a view to holding a conference before tlie beginning of next season for the purpose of becoming fully organised.
