A charming afternoon was given \v Mrs. C- E. Maguire at her residence >n Monday afternoon for the men of the Fiji contingent now awaiting a steamer :o Suva. There were sixteen returned men present. During the afternoon ;ongs were given by Mrs. Maguire. and Mr. llollius Crompton, and a display of fancy dancing was given by Miss H. Maguire and Miss E. Ward.
