OBITUARY.
DEAX FRAXCIS HILLS. Solemn requiem mass was celebrated this morning at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, after which the funeral of the late Dean Francis Hills left for Panmure, •where the interment took place. Dean HiUg came to Auckland about three months ago for medical treatment, but died in a private hospital at the age of 64 years. He arrived in Xew Zealand about 23 years ago, and was a professor at St. Patrick's College, Wellington. He was appointed Vicar-tJeneral at Christchurch by the late Bishop Grimes. J)ean Hills was an able French scholar, and a brilliant musician, possessed.of an excellent voice. i
