GERMAN GOODS.

. (To the, Editor.) Sir, —I should like to know the social standing of both Hγ. J. A. Lyttle and "W.A.T.," who condemn an}* traffic in German goods. I venture to say they don't have to struggle along on three to four pounds per week,'or they would cry a different tune. While recognising the fact that Germany should be made to pay to the utmost for her WTongs, to impose a big indemnity on the country and then block the means of paying it does not seem sensible. But apart from that, as a working man I should welcome the markets being flooded with German goods. The people to-day aTe being exploited to an alarming extent, and the best way to block it is to flood 'the markets with German goods- The band our friends talk of forming would ibe the first to pay a shilling for a German article that the British profiteer charged 2/6 for. —I am, etc., A. D. BROWN.
