Sir,—A "cause that lacks assistance" is that of very many well-intentioned men and women who, finding little stable anchorage in the churc-hianities of to-day, scan vainly the columns of the "Star" for Sunday evening lectures. Are there no gifted members of scientific, educational or literary associations, or the like, who would give these the delight and assistance of their knowledge for an hour on these long Sunday, evenings? Say, from 8 to 9 p.m. 'Economics barred.—l am, etc., BOBREADY.
