It was agreed to acquire land to give access by public highway from Market g Koad to Mt. St. John Domain. ....-, --ii
The old entrance from St. John's Avenue - was objected to because of Its steepness and surroundings. The proposed entrance 9 was open to the day and in full view from every side. It would have a grade suited . for motor cars. The Board decided to ask Auckland City Council to contribute £50 § towards the cost.
