Thomas, organising score tary of the Railwaymen's Union, in th' House of Commons, referring to th< triple alliance ballot on the question o withdrawing troops from Russia, sail that the workers were not in favour o Bolshevism, but complained at the Allie interfering or dictating the form o government to any other country. Th Crown was entitled to use its soldier in order to preserve law and order, bu was not entitled to use soldiers for th purpose of breaking strikes. Mr. Churchill replied that it wa odious for the State to use force in dispute between Capital and Labour, bu where the State as a whole was cha lenged and the life and Welfare of th community were at stake it obviousl must use all its resources and fight witl out flinching to the bitter end.— (A. an N.Z.
