EDUCATION OF GIRLS.
SUPERVISORS APPOINTED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Minister for Education (Hon. J. A. Hanan) announces that the Public Service Conmrssioner has appointed Miss A. F. 1. Inkpen, Training School, Christchurch, and Miss M. E. Perrin, 8.A., of Waihppai School, as lady supervisors over tie education of girls and infants. The salary is '£400 per annum, and applications w»re called from certificated teachers with wide experience in school work, specialising in modern infant school, kindeigarten and Montessori methods of teaching. They are qualified to direct training in the infant department of primary schools, and to supervise and direct the instruction of girls of the upper standards in domestic science, hygiene, ?hysiolo£y, and first aid, to report to the Education Department on the probvisios made for these subjects and to arrange and direct conferences of lady teachers on these matters.
