The demand lor wood, coal and timber shares continues good on 'Change at late quotations, but the offers were not accepted by holders. ITikurangi coal could now he placed at 10/9. Milne and Choyce shares sold at £ 1 of, and debentures at threepence advar.ee upon that rate. ,Shar-| land, Ltd., firmed to buyers at £1 10/9, and Wilsons (X.Z.) Cement sold at 1(5/11, with buyers left offering lii/ 10. Inquiryset in at 12/ for Xational Bank '"rights," but at the noon call 14/ failed to lead to business. Auckland Gas, paid iisue, are wanted at £1 7/, and P. and O. deferred! stock are offered at £500, with £473 i quoted as the buying figure. Old Hau-j raki shares have firmed to buyers at 6d,j and Grand Junction are wanted at 12/7,! while there is steady demand for Waihi shares at £2 4/, and Talismans changed hands at 7/S.
