BRITAIN'S FIELD ARMIES

Following is the distribution of British troops throughout the world:—2o6 000 form the army of the Rhine; 214,000 are in Fram-e and Flanders, mainly occupied m salving work on the battlefields, but also acting as a reserve for the Rhine army: 11,000 are in Italy, including the garrisons at Fiume and Scutari; 22,000 are in Constantinople, and a similar force in Trans-Caucasia. A total of SIG.OOO are in Egypt and Palestine, including 10.000 Australians and New Zealanders: 21,000 in Mesopotamia, C 2.000 in India, and 1400 on the Siberian railway. Twenty-three thousand Australian troops in Britain arc- yet to be repatriated.—(A. and X.Z. Cable.)
