NORTHCOTE PROGRESSIVE LEAGUE.
The first social afternoon of a monthly series was field yesterday by the Northeote Women's Progressive League iv the Anglican I'arish Hall. Xorthcote. An enjoyable projiramnw ot musical items was contributed t>y Mesdam.-s Choules. H. Stebbin;:, W. E. Richardson, W. K. A. Stewart, Allely, Patterson, limve. Hifrjiinbothain, and Miss l-'raser. Tile following officers were elected: President. Mrs. <;. Fraser; vice-presidents, Mesrlames A. E. Greer.slade and G. H. Lyon; <lanii-s it! Bethvraite." Allelv, ,T. I?. Tonar. E B. Cavaje, and McLaughlin. Upon the of the Mayoress of Northcote it was derided to co-operate with the Auckland committee in assisting the poor and needy, and representatives of the Leajrue will bt- in attendance at the Xorthcote ■Touueil Chambers throughout next Friday fureiioon to receive donations of money or suitable articles, to be forwarded to the Auckland committee.
