AUCKLAND BOWLING CENTRE. THE AXNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Auckland Centre of the New Zealand Bowling Association was held last evening, a good attendance of delegates being present. The president, Mr. A. N. Sneddon, was in the chair. The annual report, in discussing the past eeaeon, touched on the spirit ot goodfellowship that had prevailed, and the general enjoyment that bowlers had experienced. The pennant competition, in which 54 rinks participated, was won by a Carlton team, an Onehunga foul being runners-up. The executive matcti was won by Ponsonby, the champior pairs by Rocky Nook, and the firet yeai championship by Otahuhu. In the Lam bert Cup competition there were twelve clube, the final being won by Devonport from Dominion Road. Mention was made of the outstanding success of the Dominion tournament a*! Auckland in January, and congratula tions were extended to the Karanga hake Club on their team's brilliant feai in winning the banner, and to Professoi Max. Walker (Ponsonby) in carrying of first honours in the singles champion ship for the second time. Gilles (Carlton). Mr. M. M. McCalltii; was nominated as a member of th Dominion Council. Mr. T. R. Keesing suggested an inter club competition scheme for the pennan and the Lambert Cup, his idea bein that each club should be represented b; a number of rinks proportionate to it playing membership.
