SUGAR DEARER.
A NEW AGREEMENT. AT ADVANCED TRICE.. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) WELLIXGTOX, this day. The Hon. W. D. S. Mac Donald states that an arrangement has been made by the Board of Trade with the Colonial Sugar Co. to supply all requirements ot Xew Zealand's home consumption of sugar for the next nine months at a wholesale price of £23 15/ f.0.b., Auckland; supplies to manufacturers £21 15/, Iwith the usual addition of 12/6. In the case of Auckland buyers the increase for general trade is 25/ per ton. The increased price is stated to be necessary owing to losses sustained by the company as the result of poor crops. It is anticipated tiiat next year's croa will show no improvement.
