Copies of a resolution were forwarded last week to each member of the Cabinet by the Soldiers Mothers' League appealing to the Government to provide positions, -where possible, in the Civil Service, for returned men. It was pointed out that some disabled returned soldiers were quite fitted for certain work in the post! offices of the Dominion. A reply has just been received by -Mr W. R. Morris, Secretary to the Postal Department, to whom evidently the resolution had been Teniitted, who states that the suggestions were being duly considered.
