LAND TENURE IN ROTORUA.
DEMAND FOR TDK FREEHOLD. (By Telegrupb.—Owu Correspondent.) ROTORUA, this day. A large meeting convened by the Chamber of Commerce was held last night for adopting a policy of the option of the freehold and a system of local control. The following resolution was carried' unanimously. 142 votes being cast ifor if: "This public meeting of residents of Rotorua is of opinion that the time has arrived when the option of the freehold should be mad.- available and a sys- . ! tent of local control instituted, upon the ' lines specified in the circular issued to i householders by the Chamber." I The speakers were Messrs. McLean, I (chairman), McDowell, Harnpuon, and ] Bennett.
