THE BURSARY SCHEME. (By Teiegrapn.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. At b meeting of the National War Fund- I'uiliii'il a report of the committee fippointed to consider applications for bur-arie-. recommended that oS of those Who had applied should be awarded bursaries, subject to further inquiries as to their health and financial necessities, and also to recommendations from the registrars in the ca>e of those who were in attendance at a university college and of the headmaster of their last school in ca-es where they had not previously attended eollepe.
The i eport was adopted and the necessary steps will be taken by telegTaph in order that there may be no delay in awarding the bursaries.
The remaining cases will be further inquired into.
