THE FARMERS' UNION.

DISSATISFACTION WITH THE executive. a cambridge motion. The administration of the affairs -ot the Auckland branch of tlie Fanners Union by the Provincial Executive is •viewed with dissatisfaction from Cambridge, and measures whereby tlie branch can disassociate itself from the parent body are to be considered. The alternative proposals came forward m the form of a notice of motion ut a meeting of the branch on Saturday. The motion reads: — "That this meeting of the Cambridge branch of the New Zealand Farmers Union views with alarm the unsatUfactory position into which the Auckland Provincial Executive of the union has allowed affairs to drift —as admitted by the Auckland provincial president—and that this meeting is of opinion that the new proposals for carrying on. as outlined by the Provincial Executive, are unworkable, and must shortly lead to di-aster; and, further, that thit meeting is of opinion that the provincial system of the union should be abolished, and that the Cambridge branch taice steps to sever all connection with the Auckland provincial system, euch to take effect at the end of the present financial year, and, in lieti thereof the branch deal directly with the Dominion Centre until such time as the Farmers' Union is satisfactory- reconstructed."
