G.J.L. —The silver war badge is not issued to demobilised fit men, but only to those who have been discharged on account of disabilities contracted on service or through being over age. The budge is an Imperial one, and its issue in New Zealind is governed by rules laid down in England. Possibly the Defence Department will remedy the omission by striking a local badge for demobilised men, but in the meantime your best course is to join the Returned Soldiers* Association, which will supply you with a badge showing that you have served abroad.
