MR. M. J. COYLE.

RETIRING FROM HOSPITAL BOARD.

Mr. M. J. Coyle, who for a number of years has been a member of the Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, and has occupied the chair for several years, has decided not to seek re-election at the forthcoming Hospital Board election. At the meeting of the Board last night the chairman, Mr. Wallace, took the opportunity of conveying to Mr. Coyle the Board's appreciation of the valuable services he has rendered to the community during a number of years. Reviewing Mr. Coyle's connection with local bodies, he also referred to the fact that for four years he was chairman of the Local Bodies' Association, and also the first Mayor of Mt. Albert. Mr. Coyle had rendered valuable service, and in retiring from the Board he was carrying with him the good wishes of the Board. Mr. Coyle suitably returned thank?, and intimated that his reason I for retiring was on account of his removal out of the city, thus debarring him from giving the full time necessary to the business of the Board.
