CIVIL CLAIMS.

QUESTION OF COMMISSION. POSSESSION OP A HOUSE. Before Mr. J. E. Wilson, S.M.,' J. Sutcliffe and Co. (Mr. Mahoney), claimed from Joseph Quigley, farmer, Uunua (Mr. Durham), commission amounting to £01 5/ in connection with th« sale of four houses at Birkenhead. Plaintiff reduced the claim to £58 15/. The defence was that Quigley agreed to pay only £25, and the other paTty, Ferguson, £25. A memorandum prepared at the time of eigning was put in by defendant, and this mentioned the sum of £50. Defendant 6aid this was placed in a sealed envelope and he did not see it until arriving home.
