The Hamilton Racing Club opened their annual meeting at Claudelands to-day. The weather was beautifully tine, but very warm, and there was a record attendance. Gray, the rider of Pretty Bobby in the Trial Handicap, broke one of his leathers during the race, and was cautioned for not paying more attention to his gear. After the Claudelands Handicap, D. O"Shea, the rider of Caballero. was cautioned for looking round during the race. The totalisator handled £42,215 against £27,406 last year, an increase of £14,809.
