» SCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIPS. (Special to "Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The Dominion Schools and Intermediate Championship Swimming Meeting commenced here to-day, when heats for th« half-mile were taken. The tirst heat was won easily by Anderson, of Wellington, wtth Lowe (Christchurch second, and Fairgray (Auckland), who swam pluckily for a boy, third. The second he-at was won by V. Reid (Wang-anui). who swam strong'? and well, and defeated Yon Stunner (AucKland) by about a length and a-half o> toartha. Sutherland (Chrlstehureh) pulle* out after a few lengths.
