A meeting of the ChriKtehtirch branch of the National Council nf Women of New Zealand was held lafil week. Miss Henderson occupying the chair. It was reported that the Chriatrhurrh Women Teachers' Association and the Y.W.C.A. hail affiliated with the branches, Inkpen n;Mn,T present representing the women teacher*, and Miss Owen representing the Y.W.C.A. Miss Henderson gave an interesting address, emphasising (he great need that exists for all social, political, and humanitarian societies of women throughout the Dominion to hand together, in order to be ready to take united action whenever occasion demands it. After a general discussion it wae resolved that an address shouWl l>e given at the next meeting or. the subject of "Our Laws as they affect Women."
