BAZAAR.
A pretty bazaar was held in the schoolroom of the Methodist Church, Grafton Road, on Wednesday afternoon ill aid of the infant class room and the renovation of the church grounds. The proceedings were opened by Mre A. C. Caughey, who briefly explained the objects of the gathering. The. room had been decorated with flowers and coloured drapery, and made a pleasing pictu.-e. The plain sewing stall was in charge (of the Ladies' Guild, under Mrs Burton and Mrs Gatland, and had a good display of children's clothes. The cake, produce, and flowers were sold by Mrs fioodinp and Mrs H. Pollard, while the fancy goods were in charge of Miss Burton and Miss UiwTy. The sweet stall was managed by Misses Jv and A. White, F. Layer, and Offer. Afternoon tea was under Miss Kdith Burton, and did good business. A fish pond was controlled by Miss O. Monk. During the evening musical items were given by Mr McN'iven, Miss Alice Taylor, Master Robbie Ah Chee, Miss Ida Spedding. and Misses leaver, Taylor, and Woodham. who gave a trio. Mr Trevor Sparling acted as accompanist.
