SERIOUS MOTOR ACCIDENT.
DANCE PARTY CAPSIZED. SEVERAL BADLY INJURED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HAWERA, this day. A serious accident occurred near Normanby dairy factory .early this morning. Mr. J. Russell, taxi proprietor, was motoring a party of nine from Eltham to Hawera after" a dance when a back tyre blew out. This was followed by a succession of 'blowouts, causing the car to overbalance and overturn. Completing a somerEigilt it righted itself. The occupants were thrown clear, but all were somewhat injured. Those brought to the Hawera hospital are Misses Ada Dunn, night collarbone broken; Marion Dunn, both collarbones Woken; Miss Turner, right foot injuries: J. Russell, driver of the car, injuries to face (he was able to lie removed liome after receiving attention): Whittaker, mostly head bruisee. All these patients are doing as well as can be expected. Others, •who were taken to Mrs. WaJshe'e hotel at Norman.T>y, are: Miss Madge Dunn, unconscious; -Misses Walshe, O'Connor, and Tong, all three suffering from shock and bruises.
