ADVANCE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE MEUSE.

(Received 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, October 11. An American communique issued at 4.30 ajn. to-day states:—On the Tight bank of the Mouse the French, fighting with the First American Army, continued to advance, and valiantly withstood counter-attacks. The heights eastward of Sevry have been cleared of the enemy. On the left bank of the Meuse we stormed Cote Dame Marie after severe lighting. Further westward the enemy bag been driven , from the Argonne Forest and we reached the line Sonunerance, tight miles north of the old front at Varennes, Maretj Chevieree, and opposite Grand Fre. We took a thousand prisoners, including two complete battalion staffs.—(A. and N.Z. and Renter.)
