A French communique eaya:—ln tl» region south of St. Quentin we continued to advance last night and penetrated the woods nuorth of La Fontaine. We carried the fort and. village of Vendeuil and pushed on to the Oise. Oar reconnaissances took prisoners, north of the Aisne and in "the Champagne towards the Butte dv Mesnil. We repulsed enemy raids north of the"-Vesle and in the Vosges.—(A. and N.Z. and Renter.)
