LIETJT.-COLONEL HUMPHRIES. DISTINGUISHED NEW ZEALANDER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WAXGANU. Thursday. News was received to-day that Lieut.C,olonel Cecil Humphries, late of Christchurch, had been killed in action. He had a brilliant career. He enlisted as a private with the.Britfph forces when war broke out, and distinguished himself at the battle of Loos* He was the winner of the D.C.M. and .Military Cross, and later he was wounded four times. He was only years old.
