HOCKEY ASSOCIATION.

MEETING OF ___ECUTTVE.

The usual meeting of the executive was held in the Sports Club, Mr Kent presiding. Somervell were granted permission to Play Thames on Saturday, 10th. The Waikato Association wrote asking for a match with the representative team at Hamilton. As arrangements were not suitable, it was decided to decline the offer, and to make arrangements for a later date. It was decided to play Wellington Association on Wednesday, 28th August, if suitable to them. Gisborne wired asking If a rep. team, could play them on October 3rd. It was decided to see what arrangements could be made on receipt of their letter which is to come to band. An application from, Mount Eden to play St. Luke's on the 10th was declined. Good entries have been received for the | seven aside on Saturday, and Messrs Bart- ! lect and Fletcher were appointed to draw up the programme. i Sparkes, of Edendale Club, was suspended until he appears before the Association.
