Hoffman. stated that a hundred Independent Socialists had been sent to the trenches as punishment for their political activity, While unservicca.bles had been sent to prison, where many perished of hunger. He' declared -that half-a-irallii.n men were killed in Germany's new offensive. (Renter.)
