A meeting of shareholders in the Cambridge Co-operative Dairy Company was held here on Saturday to receive a report from the company's manager, Mr. Peterson, who has just returned from, a visit to America. Mr. Peterson spoke very favourably .in respect to the field opening up for the dried milk industry. High prices were being obtained for butterfat supplied, to dried milk factories. He was of the opinion that the necessary machinery for the' manufacture of dried milk could be secured. The report favoured the 6pray process as against the roller system. Mr. W. Goodfellow, managing director of the Waikato Co-operative Dairy Company, addressed the meeting, dealing mostly with the financial side, and in conclusion rb was decided to erect two dried milk factories at the earliest possible moment. The necessary guarantee of 3000 cows was forthcoming in the room.
