Six prizes of 10/- each —a total of £3 per week- —will be given for the six best recipes received for the following dishes in which apples mainly are employed: Closing March 30th—Jams, Jellies and Marmalade ~ April 6th — Sweets, without pastry „ „ 13th—Sweets, where pastry is used „ „ 20th — Chutneys, Pickles ahd Sauces The judge will be the well-known Cookery Expert, Miss Una Carter, and her decision is final. Prizes will be awarded (or the most delicious dishes, economy being considered. No entry fee. Any number of recipes can be sent in. Recipes must be written on one. side of the paper only, and must not bear your name and address—this should be written on a separate slip pinned to the recipe as the judge will not know by whom any entry is sent in. Where more than six recipes are judged to be of equal merit the prize winners will be decided by lot.
