Tlie annual competition for the Western I Electric Telegraph Co.'s Shield between uults of the N.Z. Post and Toloßraph Engineers Corps anil Senior Cadets took place at the rarlonn centres during February. Eight teams entered hi the oompetitiOD. which was this year flretf on the 200 and 500 yards' ranges, with a possible score of 500 points. No. 3 Company Engineers, Blenheim, proved the winners, with n score of 3!>3 points. No. 00 Company Senior Cadets, Auckland, belns second with .T44 points. The positions or the competing teame were as follows:— Ttß. Xo. 8 Co. Engineers. Blenheim, 1.... .W. Xo. 90 Co. Senior Cadets, Auckland. 2. 344 Xo. 4 Co. Engineers. Wanganul, ?. .'S:!G Xo. 8 Co.
