NEW CRISIS IN VICTORIA.
THE BOWSER GOVERNMENT DEFEATED. (Received 11.25 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. The Bowser Government was defeated by 23 votes to 22 on a motion by the Leader of the Opposition for the nominal reduction of the railway estimates. Mr Bowser asked the Governor for a dissolution, intimating that he would resign in the event of a refusal.—(A. and N.Z.)
