HOTELKEEPER'S FAILURE.

Shortly afterwards one of the creditors issued a distress warrant, and bankrupt was forced to file to protect the other creditors. Bankrupt (examined) stated that the hotel was not paying, and to improve bis position lie purchased a chaffcutter, but this venture did not have the desired result. An accommodation bouse which be started on the West Coast also turned out a failure. It was eventually decided I tint tbo creditors would be prepared to acc-pt 8/- in the X, and that a further meeting be called if no proposition were forthcoming in a fortnight.
