HORTAGE OF TEACHERS.
CLASSED AS ESSENTIAL. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. Owing to the depletion of the ranks of school teachers through enlistment, Cabinet, on the recommendation of the Hon. J. A. Hanan (Minister for Education), referred the matter to the National Efficiency Board, which has now classified the teaching institutions as "essential" under class B of the classification.
