MINISTERS IN AUCKLAND.
Sir James Allen, Acting-Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, paid a visit to Motuiln Island this morning for the purpose of inspecting the internment camp, and this afternoon he was engaged at the Grand Hotel with departmental matters and private deputations. Thia evening the Minister will attend a special parade of Territorials and Senior Cadets. Sir James will go to-morrow to Rotorua, and will proceed to Wellington on Monday next. The Hon. W. Frasor, Minister of 1 üblic Works, conferred with the Harbour Board yesterday afternoon and again this afternoon, regarding the proposed confiscation of the new Mechanics' Bay reclamation for Government use I his morning he received a deputation from the City Council regarding tramway control. He leaves for Wellington by tho express to-night.
