WITH THE SCOUTS.
(By KIM.) Owinjr to the examiuatious being held on Saturday, the football championships will not be continued this week.
Last Friday evening the First —den Troop received a visit from the District Commander (Mr C. FY Biekford) and Adjutant (Mr 6. Bid well). After the adjutant _nd put the troop through their drill movements, the i> Istrict Commamler address ed the hoys.
Scouts are remindf— that the quarterly examinations will be held on Saturday afternoon nt the Dilworth institute. Keiuuern. The ambulance tests will he conducted at St. Matthew's .Hall, City, on Wednesday evening neit.
A visit of Inspection was paid by the District Commander _hd Adjutant to the Mt. Albert Troop on Friday lnest. The District Commander gave a short address to N.C.O.'s on dlsedpllne and duty, which was greatly appreciated by the boys. Tlie adjutant tested the boys under Assistant Scoutmaster Shcppard In a few military movements, and after Inspection the scouts gave the visitors a Maori hakn.
A visit was paid to the Edendale Troop last week by the D„trlet Commander, who found the boys working hard and doing got>4 work under Scoutmaster Vickerstaff.
